Top $20 Costco Steals for August

<

August is prime time to hit up Costco and snag some killer deals for under $20. Whether you're stocking up for BBQs, gearing up for football season, or just need some solid grub, these picks will keep your wallet happy and your pantry stacked. I’ve scoured the aisles (and maybe spent too long in the food court) to bring you the best bangs for your buck. Here’s what’s worth grabbing this month!

Kirkland Signature Organic Peanut Butter

This two-pack of 28-ounce jars is a steal at around $11.99. Creamy, rich, and perfect for sandwiches or a quick protein shake, it’s a no-brainer for busy mornings. I slather this stuff on toast before my morning jog, and it’s kept me fueled through some sweaty summer runs. You can’t beat the price for organic, and it’s versatile enough for everything from PB&J to dipping apples.

Nature’s Own Whole Wheat Bread Two-Pack

For about $6.99, you get two hearty loaves that hold up great for sandwiches or toast. With school lunches or tailgate parties on the horizon, this bread’s a solid pick for feeding a crowd without breaking the bank. I grabbed these last August for a backyard BBQ, and they were perfect for piling high with burgers—no soggy buns here!

Kirkland Signature Extra Virgin Olive Oil

At roughly $18.99 for a two-liter bottle, this olive oil is a kitchen MVP. Use it for grilling steaks, sautéing veggies, or even drizzling over a salad. It’s got a smooth, buttery vibe that punches above its price tag. I started using it for my Sunday pasta nights, and let me tell ya, it makes my marinara taste like it came from an Italian joint.

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds

Two big boxes for around $10? Heck yeah! This cereal’s got that sweet crunch that makes breakfast feel like a treat, but it’s still got some wholesome oats to keep you going. I keep a box in my desk at work for those mornings when I’m running late—pairs great with a coffee and keeps me from raiding the vending machine.

Kirkland Signature Microwave Popcorn

A 44-pack of these bad boys runs about $14.99. Perfect for movie nights or when you’re cheering on your team during the game. They pop up fluffy and taste just as good as the fancy theater stuff. I brought a box to a buddy’s poker night, and we demolished half of it before the cards even hit the table.

Airborne Immune Support Tablets

For around $15, you get 36 effervescent tablets in orange or berry flavor. With cold season creeping up, these are great to toss in your gym bag or keep at home. I started popping these last fall after a coworker got me sick, and I swear they helped me dodge a few bugs during flu season. Total game-changer.

Kirkland Signature Cashews

A 2.5-pound bag for about $16.99 is a straight-up deal. These salty, crunchy nuts are perfect for snacking during the game or tossing into a stir-fry. I keep a stash in my truck for road trips—way better than gas station snacks and keeps me from impulse-buying junk.

Goldfish Crackers 45-Pack

At around $12.99, this box of 45 individual bags is a crowd-pleaser. Whether you’re packing lunches or need a quick snack for the kids (or yourself), these cheesy bites hit the spot. I brought these to a tailgate last season, and they were gone before kickoff—guys were fighting over the last bag!

Kirkland Signature Colombian Ground Coffee

For about $14.79, you get three pounds of solid coffee. It’s got a bold flavor that’s perfect for your morning brew or an afternoon pick-me-up. I brew a pot of this every Sunday while I’m flipping through the sports section, and it’s become my go-to for a smooth, no-fuss cup.

Eddie Bauer Youth Jacket

This versatile jacket, priced around $19.99, is water-resistant and comes with a fleece lining—perfect for kids heading back to school or fall camping trips. It’s got a hood and comes in colors like black or blue. I got one for my nephew last year, and it held up through a whole season of him roughhousing in the backyard.
