When the world goes topsy-turvy, you gotta be ready with food that lasts and keeps you kickin’. Preppers know the score—stock up on stuff that’s cheap, stores forever, and fills you up. But if you’re vegan, some of these go-to survival foods might make you gag. Here’s a list of 10 prepper foods that’ll keep you alive, even if they ain’t exactly vegan-friendly. Trust me, I learned this the hard way when I got stuck in a blackout for three days with only a can of Spam and some crackers to munch on.

1. Canned Spam

This salty, meaty brick of pork shoulder and ham is a prepper’s best bud. It’s got a shelf life longer than your Netflix subscription and packs protein to keep you strong when the grid goes down.

2. Beef Jerkey

Jerky is like meat candy—tough, chewy, and full of flavor. It’s lightweight, lasts for ages, and gives you the energy to outrun whatever’s coming, but vegans won’t touch it with a ten-foot pole.

3. Powdered Milk

This ain’t your fancy oat milk latte. Powdered milk is a survival staple ‘cause it’s cheap, stores forever, and gives you calcium and protein when fresh dairy’s long gone.

4. Canned Tuna

Tuna in a can is a no-brainer for preppers. It’s loaded with omega-3s and protein, and you can eat it straight outta the tin when you’re holed up in your bunker.

5. Honey

Okay, some vegans might be cool with honey, but the strict ones? Nope. This sweet, sticky gold never spoils and gives you a quick energy boost when you’re running on empty.

6. Freeze-Dried Eggs

Eggs in powder form sound gross, but they’re a game-changer. You can scramble ‘em up or bake with ‘em, and they last longer than your ex’s grudges.

7. Sardines

These little fishies are packed with nutrients and come in a can that’ll survive the apocalypse. Pop the lid, and you’ve got a meal, but vegans will run screaming.

8. Bone Broth

This savory liquid is like a hug in a mug. It’s full of collagen and nutrients, and it stays good for years if canned right. Vegans, though? They’ll pass.

9. Lard

Yup, straight-up pig fat. Lard’s a prepper’s secret weapon for cooking or even eating raw in a pinch. It’s calorie-dense and lasts forever, but it’s a vegan’s nightmare.

10. Pemmican

This old-school survival food is a mix of dried meat, fat, and sometimes berries. It’s like a protein bar for pioneers, but vegans won’t go near it ‘cause of the meaty vibes.
