5 Iced Coffees You Can Make Yourself

<

Summer is right around the corner, and there’s nothing like a chilly coffee to cool ya down. Whether you’re chillin’ on your porch or just tryna survive the heat in your kitchen, these five cold coffee recipes are super easy, tasty, and won’t have you sweatin’ over a hot stove. I’ve been hooked on making these at home ever since I tried a cold brew at a local café and thought, “Man, I could totally make this myself!” So, here’s my go-to list for some delicious cold coffees you can whip up in no time.

1. Classic Cold Brew

This one’s the OG of cold coffees. Just mix coarse coffee grounds with cold water (1:4 ratio), let it sit in your fridge for 12-24 hours, and strain it through a filter. It’s smooth, strong, and perfect with a splash of milk or some sweet creamer. Pro tip: make a big batch and keep it in the fridge for a quick grab-and-go vibe.

2. Iced Vanilla Latte

If you’re feelin’ a bit fancy but still lazy, this is your jam. Brew a shot of espresso (or strong instant coffee if you’re keepin’ it real), mix in a teaspoon of vanilla syrup, and pour it over ice with cold milk. Stir it up, and you’ve got a sweet, creamy drink that tastes like it came from a coffee shop. I make this when I’m cravin’ something special but don’t wanna leave the house.

3. Mocha Frappe

Chocoholics, this one’s for you. Blend a cup of ice, a shot of espresso, a tablespoon of chocolate syrup, half a cup of milk, and a pinch of sugar. It’s like a milkshake but with a coffee kick. I messed this up once by adding too much ice, and it was like drinkin’ a slushie—still good, tho! Blend it quick, and you’re sippin’ dessert.

4. Coconut Cold Coffee

This drink’s got tropical vibes all day. Mix cold brew with a splash of coconut milk and a teaspoon of brown sugar, then pour over ice. It’s creamy, slightly sweet, and makes you feel like you’re on a beach somewhere. I got hooked on this after tryin’ it at a friend’s BBQ last summer—total game-changer.

5. Cinnamon Iced Coffee

For a lil’ spice in your life, try this bad boy. Brew some coffee, let it cool, and mix in a pinch of cinnammon and a teaspoon of maple syrup. Pour over ice and add a splash of milk if you’re feelin’ it. It’s warm and cozy but still refreshing. I love this one when I’m workin’ from home and need a pick-me-up that’s not boring.
